First video and umbilical cord.

 Sleep last night was “sporadic”.
We tried to have her more in the basket than in the bed. Seemed to work ok. She awoke at 0100hrs, 0200hrs, 0400hrs, 0600hrs – can’t remember at which point she fed as it was becoming a blur, although we did manage to settle her at at least one of the “wakepoints”.

After morning feed she then just looked around and was generally lovely.

Umbilical cord fell off at the post-waking-nappy-change, so she has no evidence of previously being attached to Mummy!

To remind Mummy what being “out of doors” was like we went for a drive.

With no place to really go, Daddy had the gallant task of choosing the destination, so quite rightly chose a motorcycle shop as the destination of choice.

Bea has been introduced to what motorcycles are acceptable and those to avoid. 🙂

Bea slept from 0100hrs to 0600hrs!

She was weighed yesterday. Her weight dropped from 3.12kgs (6lb 14oz) to 2.9kgs (6lb 6oz). This is well within expected range of weight loss.

She’s very bright this morning. Hiccups aside. Just watching the world go by.

Right. Another boob required and a nappy change needed before we get the cream!

Had a better night last night. Don’t get me wrong, it wasn’t simple. She fed about 2200hrs. Then nodded off for a bit. Woke at midnight and then fed continuously through to 0500hrs. She then slept until 0800hrs which was the nicest 3hrs sleep Mummy & Daddy have ever had!

Just had her on my lap and she was settled and snoozing; her face was fun to watch so have added some example expressions including what looks like a smile!

Crying…. oh, it’s day three already…

It’s 0536hrs in the morning and as far as I can make out Bea has been crying all night.

I’ve brought her downstairs and tried all different positions, including upside down which appeared to work for a while, until finally putting her face down.

She rooted around for a bit, and then dropped off to sleep.

I can’t leave her as she’s “loose” on the sofa, so the only thing to do is use the laptop to update the BeaBlog!
