We all pottered off to Brighton today and had some fun in the sun!
Bea and Mummy went on the spinning cups (while the boys went on the man rides!)
Then we had lunch on the beach, Bea had sausage, chips and mushy peas!
And then she took Daddy (and her banana) for a walk!
We went to the park after Ollie finished school! She does love to be outside!
On Thursday we had Bea’s friend Isla for the day. In the morning we went to Beatrix’s house for some fun and then both girls snoozed in the car on the way home. We then enjoyed some lunchtime carnage!!! Then chilled out and played with all the toys…..

In the afternoon we went for a dog walk, Bea on my back and Isla in the pushchair. Oh what a merry band we were!
Bea sleeps well when put in her cot. With being unwell we’ve had her sleep on us – something she didn’t generally do before. Her brothers did this all the time at her age and continue to fall asleep wherever they find themselves “resting their eyes”!
Yesterday Bea was playing in the lounge, into everything as ever; when we refused to open the lid on a pot of hand cream she grumbled a bit but quickly gave in and sat happily trying to open said pot herself. We then noticed that the effort was clearly exhausting as she fell asleep sitting up!
Any attempt to lay her down resulted in a cry so we left her. She eventually fell onto the sofa upset at another failed attempt to lay her down, performed her characteristic stuffing of her hands under her tummy, turned her head away and slept.
We covered her in a blanket and she slept like that with the tv blaring and the iPad playing for 45minutes, with only a solitary stir to swap the side her face was pointing (and reveal a sofa imprint on the other).
Watching her fight sleep upright was very amusing so have a couple of shots below as evidence. 🙂
We decided it was time for some wellies given the still very wet weather and Bea’s desire to walk everywhere!!! We were a little concerned about how she’d manage walking in them but given she’s already running around house and going down the slide in them I don’t think we have any concerns
Bea so rarely sits still for more than thirty seconds, so to have her sit under Daddy’s arm on the sofa and watch a bit of trashy Saturday morning TV was really cute.
Then we went out shopping (yes, more shoes; see subsequent post by Mummy!). Had a lovely lunch in an Italian place. Here we see Mummy and Bea sharing a glass of Sauvignon. 😉
We bought some building blocks today which went down a treat! And proved the perfect excuse to use her favourite word “Ta” 120 times (there are 60 blocks) as she likes to say “Ta” when she gives things to you as well as when she takes them…so she unloaded each one individually, gave it to me said “Ta” I gave it back, she said “Ta” and threw it on the floor….it was a long game but I can’t fault her enthusiasm for politeness!
Half term this week so lots of our usual groups aren’t running. So after a morning of cooking and sorting we combined walking Arek with the park. After a lovely walk in the fields we sampled one of Cowfolds finest attractions….the park!

Today Charlie had an inset day and the sun was shining so we decided to go to Holmbush Farm. Bea really loved the big shire horse and the rabbits.
